OUR BELIEFS
One Church is affiliated with the Churches of Christ Australia, which has historically been a movement that promotes church unity across all denominations, and seeks to emulate the New Testament as closely as possible in our worship and way of life.
We also uphold a biblical and historic Christian faith, as articulated in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed, which are the core essential beliefs agreed upon by the whole orthodox Christian church over the last two thousand years.
However, in all our conversations about doctrine, we also seek to live out the ideal:
“In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity”.

The Apostle’s Creed
We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried.
The third day, he rose again, according to the Scriptures.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
His kingdom will never end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life.
He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified.
He spoke through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.
We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come.

DOCTRINES Of the Faith
In addition to the above, we uphold the following essential doctrines of the Christian faith:
The one Triune God who exists eternally in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The sovereignty and grace of God in creation, providence, revelation, redemption, and final judgment.
The divine inspiration of Holy Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, which is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The essential equality and dignity of all persons, male and female, and from all races and ethnicities, as those created in the image of God.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of humanity since the fall, bringing all persons under God's judgment and in absolute need of redemption.
The atoning sacrifice of Christ, the incarnate Son of God, as the sole ground of redemption from evil, and the guilt, penalty, and power of sin.
