What we achieve on a weekly basis could not be done without the commitment and skill of our volunteers. We see serving as a response to the love, grace and forgiveness that we have experienced through faith in Jesus Christ. May people serve in an area of interest, passion and skill. But many just serve because they know that the job needs to get done and they want to contribute to their faith community. Most people serve by getting onto a roster.
We encourage regular attenders to serve on at least one roster once a month for a task or job relating to their primary worship service. Areas of service include setting up and serving communion, welcoming newcomers and visitors, welcome lounge, morning tea, crèche helper, car park attendant, lighting, sound desk, music & worship teams. Some roles may require an audition and application process. Most roles require simple on the job training with access to support as you do the role. Most roles have clear job descriptions and ability to swap rostered dates with others as required.
