One community care

Compass Care

Compass Care is a Community Program offered by One Community Care. Compass Care is a free service for elderly people 65 years and over, who live in the City of Whitehorse. Our aim is to support clients to continue to live in their own home for as long as possible, while offering a range of free services. Compass Care is primarily for people who are financially disadvantaged and those who do not have friends or family to assist them.

Under the professional guidance of the director, who is a Registered Nurse division 1, a team of appropriately skilled volunteers has been carefully selected, which enables Compass Care to offer a range of practical services. As the needs of our clients change, we hope to aid with their changes in a practical manner. Compass Care is committed to supporting people through difficult times. Where short-term or long-term care may be required, Compass Care may be useful while waiting for other services to commence.

The program director can access each client’s current and on-going needs. On this basis referrals to local agencies can be organised by Compass Care.
