Cheryl joined the ministry team in 2018 and is Interim Senior Minister. A former Principal of Eastern College Australia, Rev. Dr. Cheryl McCallum, is an ordained Churches of Christ minister. She worked at Eastern (formerly Tabor Victoria) for over 20 years in various capacities including lecturer, Head of School and Principal. She has attended One Community Church in Blackburn for 11 years serving as an Elder and Chair of the Council of Elders
Cheryl has also worked for TEAR Australia, Urban Neighbours of Hope, and as the National Director for the Australian Evangelical Alliance.
She has served on a number of Boards and Reference groups including TEAR Australia National Board, Australian Evangelical Alliance National Board, The Bible Society in Australia (Victoria) Board, Christian Woman Magazine Reference Board, Micah Challenge Reference Group and the Sophia Think-tank.
Cheryl’s passions include bible engagement, biblical equality and women in ministry. She enjoys reading, travelling and drinking coffee. She has two adult children and two grandchildren.
Roger is the Executive Minister and has been on the ministry team since 1999. Roger is responsible for the overall day to day operations of the church and aligning the activities of our ministries around our Vision. He is married to Cathy and they have four adult children.
Likes: great design, Apple products, the paper kites (band).
Dislikes: car parks, PCs, telemarketing.
Jess joined the ministry team in 2007. She oversees our worship ministry here at One and is passionate about seeing God's people engage genuinely and deeply with God in the corporate space. She studied at both Tabor and Stirling Theological colleges. Jess with husband Daniel are also song writers and musicians and have a music/arts ministry called Insideout - www.insideoutlife.com.au
Likes: good coffee, good food, anything red and black (including AFL teams).
Dislikes: magpies (all kinds), PCs, the assumption that she plays country music :)
Linda joined the ministry team in 2016 after working for a number of years with LightFM and CBM. She oversees the Children’s and Families ministry and loves to connect the Bible into everyday life. She runs a blog dailydevotions.com.au to share her reflections on life and God.
Linda is married to Cameron and they have had four children in their family through the foster system.
